Hello...am I here? What a weekend! Music, bourbon, new friends and old friends...a great combination. Friday night St. Elvis played the Promenade and proved that the folks going to those shows are looking for something unique. St. Elvis did a fine job. They are great musicians in a good band. Most of their selections are cover songs which didn't reach out and touch the usually appreciative crowd. The crowd still had a good time.

T. Wilson King helped make the Club recruitment party a success. His original lyrics and savvy guitar work set the right mood for the group. I love sharing the joy in live music with people who reap the same things as I do from it. It was really cool to feel the excitement in the room. Our group has a virus and we hope to spread it throughout Sioux Town.

Then there was Alice Cooper. The show was so 1970's. It brought back memories of the shows I saw at the Omaha Civic Center in the mid 70's. In fact I saw Alice back then. The big difference as I remember it is that then he killed animals, now he's progressed to women and children. It was a little disturbing, or should I say shocking. After all he considers himself a shock rocker. He may have scarred a few of the elderly in attendance. One grey-haired lady stood at the back of the theater looking like someone pooped in her oatmeal.

Stiff upper lip, ma'am. Amy Grant is coming soon, she'll exorcise the place.
